Telangana State Forest Academy conducting ITP courses for Forest Range Officers (sponsored by DFE, GoI), Forest Section Officers (Direct/Convertee), Forest Section Officers (Promotee) and Forest Beat Officers (Direct) in the Academy.

During the training course apart from the faculty, senior officers of Forest Department (serving/retired), subject experts in various fields are invited from time to time to take up sessions mostly for the refresher trainings.

In addition to class room lecture sessions, field visits, field work, special lectures by senior officers & subject experts, educational tours, practical sessions with focus on management and extension activities is also ensured. The trainees also take up project work on field level management challenges, which is first of its kind initiative in the country. They also have seminar presentation, weapon training, weekly feedback, etc to make the training more effective.
